Does the fabric make the quilt? Does the pattern make the quilt? Of course, it is both. Every quilt needs the perfect pattern to bring the fabric colors and textures to life. Find a pattern here for your next quilt. Download the pattern to begin your project right away!

The featured Pinwheels and Ribbon quilt is 43"x 53". The blue and yellow Pinwheels & Ribbons quilt is 56" x 71". Pinwheels and Ribbons has many variations all from one block. Additional variations are included in the instructions. The block is easy to construct with only 5 pieces. Templates are included in the pattern for a completed 5" x 5" block which was used in both quilts shown. Also included is a line drawing for you to color and design your own layout!
The small picture doesn't do this quilt justice! This dynamic quilt will stretch your color skills as you choose many fabrics that interweave together.
Each 53-piece block incorporates 15 fabrics. Many of the seams are sewn on bias edges, including odd angles and lots of matching seams. All in all - this quilt is straightforward to construct, but does takes patience. The fun in choosing fabrics and watching them come to life makes the results worth the effort.
This quilt can be constructed using foundation piecing. Included is the foundation for a reduced version of the block. (4.5” x 3.25” block instead of the full 18” x 13” block) enlarge the foundation pattern and you can create any size you choose to make!
I made the whole quilt and only pinned the block corners!
I always wanted to a drunkards path, then the “curve foot” came out and I knew it was time. I wasn’t looking to do a traditional layout, so I went to the drawing board and here is the result. By using the “curved foot” I was able to do all the quarter circles without pinning. A blank line drawing is included for your experimentation with color placement.
Large prints and stripes are perfect for this quilt.
I love large prints and this design is a great design to show off your largescale print. The pattern takes the piecing into the inner border and uses a high contrast miniborder to really bring the quilt to life. The high contrast narrow strips are three dimensional for easy sewing and an easier straight line. The quilt is easy and would be a great pattern for intermediate and beginning Quilters alike. Templates are included for easy cutting.
I made this quilt in Red White & Black. I turned the block many ways which resulted in great choices. I sewed it together as I originally designed it, but it was a hard choice. I took pictures of various options before sewing the blocks together to show you some ideas. Have fun with your choices! A blank line drawing is included so you can experiment with your own design options
