Confessions of The Committed Quilter

All Committed Quilters have committed crimes
· Against ‘the quilting rules’,
· have secret ways to ‘sneak our latest purchases into the house’,
· have ‘covertly coveted’ our friends’ fabric stash, or
· tried to obtain ‘support’ from a non Committed Quilter -friend or spouse .

My confession:
I love to quilt and draft new patterns. My patterns often have odd angle matching seams. Yet, I do not like to pin. This often results in needing to rip out seams and I hate to UNSEW! To make unsewing quick and painless, I do not set my machine thread tension evenly when piecing! Unsewing becomes a breeze when you pull that back thread. Now, I wouldn’t try this on clothing or when actually quilting. Yet for piecing I find it works great. Yes- I would be arrested by my high school Home Ec teacher, previous quilting instructors, and sewing machine manufactures! (but it works for me!)

Confess your crime now!
